Community Farm Land Trust is a membership based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving farmland and to keeping it farmed forever. Rachel has been on the Board of the Community Farm Land Trust since 2021 and has been the Chair since 2024. She knows that our area has a rich, ripe agricultural landscape and is broken hearted when farmland is lost to development. Rachel wants to ensure that aging farmers are able to retire with receipt of the full value of their land, that the land is preserved as farmland, and that young farmers of all backgrounds are able to make a living working the land. During her time on the Board, she hopes to grow the organization so that CFLT can make a bigger difference in slowing the loss of farmland. |
