Assisting veterans as they transition from military jobs to private sector jobs

Tom McLaughlin is a retired Business Executive who spent over 40 years in the Manufacturing sector, serving as General Manager, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Controller for over half of his career.  He has worked at major Fortune 500 companies, International companies, and small privately owned businesses.   The last quarter of  his career, he was asked to launch and run a Washington state manufacturing organization called Center for Advanced Manufacturing Puget Sound (CAMPS).  In his  CAMPS role he worked with 600-700 small and medium-sized manufacturers who developed some of the most revolutionary and advanced manufacturing processes globally.  In 2012, Tom launched the Military to Manufacturing Career Pathways Program (M2M) working with Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM), Navy Region Northwest, Washington State National Guard, and US Coast Guard to assist military personnel transitioning to civilian careers.  Tom attributes his career successes to serving in the US Air Force (1969-1973) as a Missile Guidance and Control Technician, spending 16 months in Southeast Asia (Vietnam and Thailand).  His military service exposed him to a whole new world very different from the small family farm in NW Pennsylvania where he grew up and provided him with the GI Bill to attain his graduate degree education.
